Use Case

Trace every call made by each pipeline step

Multi-agent orchestration starts opaque. Scalekix assigns a separate identity to every pipeline node, making the audit record match what actually happened.

The Problem

Multi-step pipelines collapse into one indistinct access log

When an orchestrator launches sub-agents for separate tasks, their outside requests usually carry the orchestrator identity or one shared service credential. The result is a flat record showing that "something called the payments API 47 times," without revealing the step, agent, or run responsible for each request.

1

Orchestrator launches five sub-agents

Each sub-agent handles a separate job: retrieving data, enriching it, transforming it, validating it, or writing it back. Yet all five authenticate with the same service account credential.

2

Each sub-agent reaches external APIs

The enrichment agent contacts a third-party data API. The write-back agent reaches your production database. Access logs show both requests under one identical identity.

3

Unexpected data reaches production

The log does not show which sub-agent caused the anomalous write. You cannot determine the blast radius or replay only the valid steps.

The Solution

Give every pipeline node its own agent identity

Identity per node

At deployment, register the orchestrator and every sub-agent with its own Scalekix credential. The SDK register() call takes less than a minute for each node.

Tag the run context

Attach a run ID to each invoke call, allowing audit events to be filtered by pipeline execution. All events from one orchestration run stay grouped and easy to correlate.

Give each node its needed scope

The data retrieval agent receives db:read only. The write-back agent receives db:write only. If an agent goes beyond its declared scope, the request is rejected instead of becoming an anomaly discovered later in the log.

Rebuild the full call graph

Search the audit log by run ID to rebuild the complete call graph for any pipeline execution. Use it to troubleshoot failures, investigate anomalies, and record behavior for compliance reviews.
